At 11am next week after the service we hold our Annual Church Meeting in church. Join us to review the past year, appoint wardens and PCC members and think about the priorities for the next 12 months with a special report from the Rector!. It’ll be over by 12pm and is a really important meeting. Please stay if you possibly can.
At 6pm on Sunday 28th April, there is our first Youth Communion in the Trinity chapel. A chance to connect God with the issues that loom large for young people. A chance to meet with other teenage Christians. A chance share a meal of bread and wine together (and then a meal of pizza!) All young people year 7 and upwards are welcome to join us.
Traditional Nigerian Meal at 7.30pm at St Mary’s Church Hall. Come and try this authentic cuisine for a taste of Africa! £10.00 per person to include a welcome drink of Prosecco. Booking is essential (tickets available from the Community Centre).
As so many people said how much they enjoyed the conviviality of our festive dinner, and the wine tasting held last summer, we are planning a further wine tasting evening to follow up on the positive comments we have had. We shall taste 8 different wines, with some nibbles. As before, Aileen Barry shall introduce the wines, including the grape varieties and how the wines are made – some you may know, some may be new, but all delicious.
We’ll sit on round tables of 8, so come either on your own, or with a friend, or book a table for up to 8. Payment, £12 per person, can be made by bank transfer (sort code 30 94 30, account number 02312070), or by cheque or cash on the night, but please reserve your places by emailing Aileen at email@example.com or by a note to her at 11 Church Street SG7 5AE
