The Friends of St Mary’s (FOSM) exists to support the preservation and restoration of the Church building. The Committee plans and implements a programme of fundraising activities in the local community to raise income in order to maintain our beautiful building. These social and fundraising events take place throughout the year and include everything from concerts in the church to wine tasting, from quiz nights to city trips, and from flower festivals to art exhibitions. And we are always looking for new ideas!

The Committee are currently raising funds for the next phase of the restoration – the roof of the central aisle. This is to prevent those who are sitting in the pews far below from getting wet when it rains! The total cost of the restoration is £235,000 and we need your help to preserve the Church for generations to come.
