Our vision at St. Mary’s church is to grow in love, love for God, one another, our community and our planet. We believe that we have been blessed in so many ways – with an amazing building, a wonderful heritage of Christian worship, blessed to be able to gather and worship, blessed to know the truth of God’s love; that we are loved and accepted. And we want this blessing to be shared. We are blessed to be a blessing!
During the next few weeks we are asking all our church members to prayerfully consider whether they can support the ministry of the church financially. Over the last few years, outgoings have gone up and donations have declined with the result that we are currently living beyond our means. Our target is to increase regular giving by 15% and if you can help us meet this goal, please complete one of the blue pledge forms available in church by 22nd March.
Importantly, Jesus has called us to live under grace, not law, so giving to God and the work of the church should not feel like a burden. I hope that you will be excited about contributing to the work of the church in whatever way you can. I pray that God would continue to bless you and the ministry of St. Mary’s and that, as we are blessed, we will be a blessing to each other and the wider community. Thank you again for your support.
