We were delighted to have been selected as the ‘Community Project’ for a small team of King’s Trust volunteers. The King’s Trust was founded in 1976 by the then Prince of Wales (now King Charles) to support young people aged 11-30 (especially those facing disadvantage) to gain confidence, skills, and opportunities. The team spent a fortnight with us, focusing on transforming the children’s area, refreshing the external noticeboards, and creating new planters so that we would have a lasting reminder of their time here. We were truly overwhelmed by their hard work, creativity, and dedication. At the end of their visit, they shared a presentation of everything they had achieved and put together a display of ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos, helping us appreciate the full impact of their efforts. Do take a moment to admire their wonderful work the next time you are in church.
